Award in Food Safety for Catering Level 2 (Accredited)

Wednesday 26th August 2026: 9:30am to 4:00pm

This Level 2 course provides learners with a level of knowledge to an industry-recognised standard. It is highly regarded by Local Authorities.  Successful completion of the course and assessment provides candidates with a three-year nationally recognised Food Safety certificate.

  • Premises cleaning
  • Controlling temperatures
  • Food preparation, storage, and personal hygiene
  • The basics of food preparation, regulations, precautions and care when handling food for others.
  • You learn through a range of interactive exercises, written text, and video content.

Who should apply?

This meets UK and EU legal requirements for anyone preparing or serving food to other people in a variety of situations, such as at events, groups, training days, and day-to-day engagements.

Most of our training courses carry a fee. However, Hull CVS offers discounted rates for its Voluntary and Community Social Enterprise (VCSE) members, and for block bookings.
