Basic Bid Writing

This training explores the topic of bid writing, helping participants understand and confidently use key terminology. We will break down and clarify important concepts, such as aims, objectives, SMART outcomes, and sustainability. During this session we will explore in detail a small grants programme and identify good practice for making an application.

Community Bleed Kit Awareness Course

Feel confident and ready to help in an emergency with our Community Bleed Kit Awareness Course. In this 2-hour hands‑on session, you’ll learn how to deal with different types of bleeding and learn how to use tourniquets, trauma dressings, haemostatic dressings, and chest seals. Everything is explained in a clear, simple way so you understand exactly what to do and how it all works.

Bystander First Aid Training

This course will go through the basic principles of First Aid and how to react to a situation, allowing attendees to develop confidence in administering aid to the general public.

Safeguarding for Trustees

Safeguarding for Trustees is a new online training session exploring understanding and considerations toward safeguarding from the perspective of a Trustee.

Hull 4 Funding Training

This course will walk you through the Hull 4 Funding website, demonstrating how to navigate through the different funding opportunities to find the best funder for you. With a wide variety of funding available, this training will teach you how to narrow your search, add filters, and save searches.

Health & Safety Level 2 (Accredited)

This Health and Safety course covers essential topics including RIDDOR, COSHH and First Aid protocols, along with fire and manual handling regulations. You will learn through a range of interactive exercises, written text, and video content.

Award in Food Safety for Catering Level 2 (Accredited)

This Level 2 course provides learners with a level of knowledge to an industry-recognised standard. It is highly regarded by Local Authorities. Successful completion of the course and assessment provides candidates with a three-year nationally recognised Food Safety certificate.

Introduction to Risk Assessments

This training will cover the basic principles of how to conduct a risk assessment. It will enable participants to recognise the importance of risk assessments and become confident in using, reviewing and updating the risk assessment documents.

Introduction to Safeguarding (Children & Adults)

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility- including any size VCSE organisation/group. During this session you will learn the foundations and fundamentals of safeguarding adults and children. Vital learning to help keep children and adults at risk safe in our work and communities. This foundation training session will start you on your journey to becoming safeguarding aware and poised for further, more in depth training in the future.

Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 (Accredited)

The Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is a legal requirement for many organisations. This course covers life saving techniques including the recovery position, cardiac arrests, heart attacks, CPR, and bleeding. Certificates are valid for 3 years.

Martyn’s Law Level 1 (Accredited)

The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 become law on 3rd April 2025. The landmark legislation known as Martyn’s Law requires ‘public premises where 200 or more individuals may be present, to be better prepared and have plans in place to keep people safe in the event of an attack.’

Advanced Bid Writing

This workshop aims to help participants develop a persuasive funding plan and use techniques that demonstrate their value to funders and investors. There will be opportunities during the session to share ideas with others to promote interactive learning.
